Singer and songwriter, Kelly Price opened up about her mysterious disappearance after her sister claimed that she was missing for over a month after battling with Covid-19. According to TMZ, Price had been missing since Sunday, August 19 in Georgia, after she was released from the hospital.

Sharae Cheree Price, Kelly’s sister broke her silence on Friday, September 24.

“We have not heard from my sister in well over a month. The last time my niece and nephew saw her was when she was in ICU, and that was the thirteenth of August,” she said in an interview with BCN News.

She pleaded frantically for her sister to respond to concerns about her whereabouts. “Just please Kelly, if you okay just please just show up. You know just go to the cops [or] do something. We need to see you physically.”

In an Instagram video posted on July 29, Price revealed that she was struggling with the virus.

“I found out today I have COVID. I Am COVID Positive. I’m following Dr’s orders. I’m quarantined. Feeling really drained. Splitting headache but I’m not in the hospital. I’m grateful and expecting to have a quick recovery. #GodIsAHealer”

Following her announcement, Price had not posted on social media, nor had she been seen in the public. However, she finally broke the silence about what happened Sunday, September 26. She said that she actually wasn’t missing, despite the claims of her family members. Price said that she isolated herself while recovering from Covid-19, and was avoiding her family who she claimed does not usually check on her.

Price also admitted that she actually died from the virus.

“At some point…they lost me. Um, I woke up some days later, a couple of days later, and the first thing I remember is the team of doctors standing around me and asking me what year it was,” Price shared with TMZ.

Kelly said that she’s been dealing with a widespread version of the virus called, “Long-COVID” also known as Post-COVID. “Post-COVID conditions are a wide range of new, returning, or ongoing health problems people can experience four or more weeks after first being infected with the virus that causes COVID-19,” says the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Kelly said that she and her sister, Sharae actually have a strained relationship and said that they haven’t spoken since their mother passed away last year. She stated that her family knew about her situation with the virus.

The powerhouse singer also reached out to fans on social media for their support.

“Thank you for your love, concern, and prayers. I truly appreciate them all and all of you who sincerely did them. They are not lost on me. I promise. I’m going back into salace [sic] and silence Where I can put first things first and that is to be restored to be healthy and to be whole.”
