Israel Houghton shared with his followers that he and Chandler Moore released a new song called, He’s A Wonder. The worship song is an expression of gratitude for God’s miracles.
“Our new single He’s A Wonder feat. @chandlerdmoore is out! Starting from a spontaneous worship moment at Feels Like Christmas, to finishing the song in LA to recording it NYC — it has arrived on all platforms for everyone to stream!! Let’s goooo! 🚀 #HesAWonder #IsraelAndNewBreed,” Houghton wrote on Instagram.
The song is packed with powerful lyrics like, “Miracles, Miracles/I have Seen, what you can Do/Of Broken things like Me/Powerful, Powerful/You have been/Greater, Stronger, than my sin/Sick Soul, I know.”
Hougton’s live album, Feels Like Home, Vol. 1 has reached #1 on the iTunes and Billboard charts. The Alpha and Omega singer revealed that he considered retiring before making the album.
“I felt like I accomplished everything that I wanted to accomplish, and I was very happily married. So I was like let me just get off the road and chill,’’ he shared.
The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the lives of many people, and Hougton believes it has also been the impetus for the emergence of new inspirational music. “It is wild to see and it might’ve taken a pandemic for people to go, ‘we need good news.”
Chandler Moore who’s also featured on the track has been excelling in the gospel industry. He’s known for hit records like Most Beautiful/So In Love, and Jirah. He’s also had the opportunity to work with music artist Justin Bieber on his gospel album, Freedom.
“Justin is a person who carries the message of the Gospel every day,” Chandler said when reflecting on Bieber’s character. “I know we hear a lot of his other music, but it isn’t just like an album for him. He’s a person who calls me and prays with me on a weekly basis, who is more in love with Jesus sometimes than me.”
“He’s A Wonder” has been receiving positive feedback. TV personality and wife to Houghton, Adrienne Ballon, wrote “My summer anthem!!! 🙌🏽🤍🙌🏽.” Another fan commented “My two faves! You’ve inspired me SO much! Could I send a song I’ve written to you? I could really use the help. GOD bless ❤❤❤”
