Singer and songwriter, Jokia reached #1 on the Billboard National Gospel Airplay Chart with her single, “Yahweh.” The song is Jokia’s first single as an independent artist with her own label, Jokia Music.

“’Yahweh’ is a song that gives listeners faith boost. “Don’t give up on what God called you to do, even if it doesn’t go the way you planned. His plans are greater than ours,” Jokia shared. Her sound is heartfelt and stylish.

The founder of Darkchild Gospel, Fred “Uncle Freddie Jerkins gave a review of “Yahweh.” When I first heard “Yahweh” I knew that it had the potential to be the #1 song in the country and didn’t hesitate for Darkchild Gospel to join forces with Jokia Music to make this song available to the world.”

Jokia started her career in the industry when she performed at Marquis Boone’s 2015 “Discovered” Conference where she landed a demo record deal. In an interview with Big Rude, Jokia shared her experience at the event.

“I debuted a single called Amen that was my first time branching out, and he [Marquis Boone] jumped on board. Before I knew it, I was playing my acoustic and people were singing along to my song.”

CEO of By Any Means Necessary, Jerome Hunt, shared, “Jokia is an amazing artist/person with an amazing song! It’s my passion at By Any Means Necessary to work with new independent artists to help them achieve what God has placed in them. I’m extremely excited for her!”
