- (Single) We Are the Light by Fresh Start Worship
Upbeat and full of praise, “We Are the Light,” is basically Matthew 5:1 set on a repeat with some amazing instrumentals behind it. Fresh Start joyfully sings of being the light of the world and refusing to be hidden, which is what we were called to do – be a light!
2. (Album) Circles by Dante Bowe
This is definitely an album to press play on and go for a drive or walk. You are for sure to vibe to tracks like “Okay” with Trevor Jackson and Lael, “Joyful,” and “All God’s Children.” Dante Bowe put out an album with a good mix of songs to worship to, vibe to, and relate to.
3. (Album) It’s Gonna Happen by Jekalyn Carr
With an album that kicks off with a track featuring gospel royalty, Shirley Caesar, Jekalyn Carr did not let the saints down with her new album. It’s Gonna Happen encompasses twelve tracks of powerful vocals and the delivery of a good word as she is known to deliver. The title track is a reminder to lean on God’s word, and to see and believe it “before it happens.”
4. (Single) Easter by Travis Greene feat. Todd Dulaney
Just in time for Resurrection Sunday, Travis Greene has released a single named after the holiday that fills every church pew with every shade of pastel imaginable, “Easter.” This song is a reminder that the day is so much bigger than Easter egg hunts. We are reminded to sing “Hallelujah to the one who paid it all.”
5. (Single) Like You by Aaron Cole feat. Tauren Wells and TobyMac
Christian rapper, Aaron Cole, released a single in which he shows off his vocals instead of his flow, as he sings, “If I’m gonna be more of anything, I just want to be more like you.” He partners with Tauren Wells and TobyMac for a song that will have you swaying and singing about being more like our Heavenly Father. This is definitely a song to add to your playlist.
